Building a business online means you need to provide fresh content for your site daily. Content is still King and it really is necessary. Fresh content articles pull potential customers to your website by providing new information regularly.
So what are your options if you simply hate to write?
To begin, if you don't want to hire someone to do it for you, you can obtain free articles online. Public domain articles are available for anyone to use. And, you don't need to worry about copyright issues with public domain articles.
The public domain consists of writings, articles, books, etc. with copyrights that have expired. Original copyrights only last for a specified number of years. When the copyright isn't extended, due to the death of an author or simply abandonment of the work, the copyright expires and it becomes available in the public domain. These are works that were once published for profit and, as such, grammar and writing is usually of a very high standard. You should check copyright laws in your country for more information.
The flipside of using public domain articles is that your competition may also be using them. But you should be able to verify this easily enough in the search engines. You may have to edit them a little in order to put your keywords and phrases in appropriately. Additionally, be sure that they pertain to your niche topic.
Another way to get free articles is to allow other sites which have similar content to submit articles to your site. Most bloggers today do utility posting which is exactly this. They use content from other blogs and give the blog a trackback (link).
Now, you might be thinking -- woah, wait a minute, I don't want to put links to other websites on my site! Well, that's a little behind the times. That's exactly what Web 2.0 is all about! Google knows this and is now displaying pages based a great deal on their popularity and link status. Google uses other parts of the website for rankings as well, but remember that social populariaty is of UTMOST importance!
So, begin to share as many links as you can and don't think you need to keep all those links to yourself.
And, if you're wondering where all this is going, well here's the pot of gold and the real reason why I decided to write this article in the first place. Because of Web 2.0, there are now many article services gaining popularity that cater to this need. The one I belong to not only sends my "unique" articles to about 600 sites upon submission, but I also receive many unique articles each day as a subscriber. And, you can choose to only receive articles if you don't want to write them.
This service is not costly but is well worth the minor fee I pay monthly. As a result, I'm seeing my links increase in Google daily. It's the best method I know of to help us all trade links and acquire unique articles. I have no problem posting regularly to all of my sites now. It's up to me to choose what categories of articles I receive, how many are sent each day and whether or not to publish on my website. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to write good articles! If it's crap, I don't post it.
Just one more thing I also want to point out as far as where to get good content for your articles. There are many sites online that offer what are called Private Label Articles that you can publish and take credit for yourself. You can even rewrite them if you like. In fact, that's how this article came about. I have no problem writing, but by using a PLR article to start with, the ideas flow easier and I don't have to come up with all original content.
